I used to know her
when she was still full of life,
when she wanted to explore
and live her life to the fullest.
I used to know her
when she still believed
in fairytales; when she still
believed in happy endings.
I used to know her
when her smile was real,
when she didn’t know
how to fake emotions.
I used to know her
when her tears were
a symbol of her innocence,
and not of her pain.
I used to know her
when she always said or did
what she felt like, without
thinking of the consequences.
I used to know her
when she didn’t know how to be silent.
But now, all she ever does
is not speak her heart out.
I used to know her
but now I’ve lost her.
She’s a stranger to me now.
I’m a stranger to myself.
P.S.-
This poem is kind of a personal letter to myself.
The poem is relatable to some extent. It’s a very good poem with a thoughtful message to one’s own self.

Used to know represents not knowing someone any longer but it’s hard to forget someone with that much beauty. That’s why people take time with themselves so they don’t forget the wonderful people who exist inside.❤️. You still know her and who she is now is also lovely, they just need to meet each other because they both just wrote a beautiful piece of poetry.🌹🌹
I love your relatable post lovely, people lose themselves all the time whether by growing up, breaking up or falling down. But they can be found by the right search party and a little heart❤️. Keep up the wonderful post lovely🌹

Your voice may need rest, while your hands communicate the rest. We have times when we want to be in silence, but I don’t mind sitting with others in silent. A lot can be said in that space even if there is no sound. But when someone can come alongside of you in these moments, you know you’re not alone. There’s a friend with you, for you to rest your head on. We can make shadow puppets. 🙂
