I’m all yours

 

“I don’t love him,”

I kept saying to everyone,

even to myself.

“We’re just friends,”

I kept repeating but,

no one believed me,

not even me.

 

That day when nothing

was going right, when

we were miles apart.

I was in my home,

you on your rooftop.

The moon smiled upon us

knowing what’s to come.

 

So far apart we were in our own worlds

yet for the first time, so close;

The June breeze bringing us together.

You had to go

but I made you stay

saying there’s something

I wanna tell you.

 

“I love you,” I said

for the very first time

and in a moment,

everything was right again.

Never did I felt so

calm and peaceful,

like I was at home.

 

From that very moment,

I started to heal from the

broken self that I was.

I was all yours

from the very moment

when you said,

“I love you too.”
