You need me

 

You push me away

I come right back to you.

You hurt me, wishing I’ll leave,

I stick with you even more.

 

You think you are a

hurting machine, nothing else.

Little do you know,

it’s you who saved me from myself.

 

You say you’re strong

and yet, you’re so fragile,

ready to break down

with the next blow.

 

You think you’re best alone,

you don’t let anyone near you,

so that you don’t end up

hurting anyone near you.

 

You say you’re fine,

that you don’t need anyone.

But I see through your guise,

how you desperately need someone.

 

I may not be what you want

but I am what you need;

Me, the only one in your life

who sees right through you.
