Highs and Lows

This exhaustion is so intoxicating,

making me high,

when I’m actually just real down.

Maybe I’m not down,

maybe I’m better

than I’ve ever been before.

Being high or down may not be

two different things.

Being high does not always

gives us euphoria,

being down doesn’t always

means that we’re stressed.

Maybe the highs and the lows

are the same thing.

P.S.-

It’s like the rollercoaster syndrome that we’ve all felt, it’s that rush and then coming off the rush, it’s a feeling of happiness but somber cause the rush is over but the appreciation is still within so the joy is there. It’s jet lag, not tired but just chilled…content with a on a trip mindset. Lows aren’t lows to me lovely, you’re not really afraid of heights if your willing to stand up cause your mind is already in the air.😉. I love the way you think, highs and lows are the same feeling in a way sometimes, one comes with adrenaline and the other comes with contentment. Both can be positive in their own way, the lows keep you grounded.😉🌹
