A Soul stronger than ever before

We were a wretched mess,

hanging on by a wafer thin thread,

clinging onto little moments of happiness.

And when that thread broke,

we fell apart and I was left alone,

constantly thinking of where it all went wrong.

Then I hit my lowest last year,

suffocating beneath all that pain,

kept fighting for fresh air.

Read and read and read,

until I couldn’t anymore,

kept exhausting myself,

only to stay awake without thinking,

only to sleep without dreaming.

Days turned into weeks turned into months,

and I came out of this excruciating agony,

with a soul stronger than ever before.

P.S.-

When you’re in pain or grieving, you feel as though it’s endless and you make that pain your immediate reality when it’s actually not. It’s only a part of your reality, and so is happiness, peace, and kindness a part of it. And no matter how hopeless the situation is, and no matter how endless the pain seems, it will end. And you will be stronger and better and happier one day. Take it from someone who’s been there ♥

I can really relate to this, but that’s exactly what your words do, every time. I loved the tone you used here, it was agonizing and poetic at the same time, almost melodic. Loved loved loved it and the ending even more ❤️❤️

Some people take walks on the beach or in the park, you and I….we walk on the same road and we are perfectly fine with it🌹. From your rise to strength from weakness, from your lows to the highs and from the madness to the memories you overcame to better instead of bitter. Reading this lets me know there’s an amazing heart and soul out there, the wretched mess, the heartbreak…I know people can relate. But you know you have to get wet when it’s raining, and the struggle is what makes you a survivor and surviving makes you stronger and strength gives you heart and heart gives you soul…. and you have all of that.♥️♥️. This was wonderful, I feel you on this one, I’m with you as well. Loved this powerfully poetic message.♥️♥️🌹

It is lovely, but that’s not always a bad thing because it’s always uplifting to see the sun. What’s the use of being down when there’s no happiness in the rebound.
Thank you and you’re so welcome♥️♥️

  8. Another master piece Sonali

Pain can be physical or emotional.

Physical is temorary and takes a little time to heal so one need not worry forever, at the most the scars may remain due to the past injury.

What about pain and resulting scars ( that can’t be seen by others)?
Here comes the role of inner strength.

“When I planted my pain in the field of patience it bore fruit of happiness” Kahlil Gibran.

I am overwhelmed as usual with your poetry

    Thank you.
