Put me right back to sleep

Middle of the night, I wake up,

from a nightmare I don’t even recall.

Miles away, you’re awake too,

busy in your work like always.

You’re so far away from me,

when I want you here beside me,

to hold me and comfort me,

to put me right back to sleep.

Even when you’re so far away,

you still talk to me and comfort me,

putting your work on hold,

to put me right back to sleep.
