Can’t we just be
and still agree
to be in peace?
P.S.-
Why are humans so prone to anger and violence? Why can’t we all just live and let others live in peace? How hard can it be after all, to not pass our unsolicited opinions onto everyone else? Always commenting on someone else’s body, someone else’s character, someone else’s life when we ourselves are no where near perfect. How fair is that really?
Because it’s just not in human nature 😂

It is. Not even has the patience or the presence of mind to do that. But people and their thoughts are changing, ever evolving. So maybe, all is not lost.

It kind of goes back to the “treat others as you’d like to be treated.”
There is so much hatred and violence in the world today. What a wonderful world it would be, if we could all live in peace with each other ….

Ah, Sonali, I love this short poem and your commentary. I agree with Shweta. It’s part of the larger picture, drama, of life on this planet as a human being. With peace comes chaos and disorder, unfortunately. Just part of it. Anyway, love the poem and what you are pointing to, which, for me, is to focus on the self, and bring peace with you…❤❤❤

I learnt somewhere “peace is not the absence of chaos, it’s a refuge in the midst of it.” Maybe they are two faces of the same coin. I love what you said though, a very powerful thought. ❤️❤️

Beautifully penned.
My guess is, humans have two defects by birth.
☑️Ego
☑️Judgemental
So there is no question of peace and hormony.
The simple answer to your title is ……we can’t.
And we are used to live with these defects.
Thank you Sonali

Humans will always be killing each other. One of the problems is we attach our egos to what we believe. Because our egos are only interested in survival – a challenge to our beliefs is taken as a challenge to our lives. Until we are able to look through our own egos and come to terms with our own mortality, we will always be prone to violence, anger, depression, anxiety… That’s my short theory anyway. Beautifully written and thoughtful question Sonali 🙏

We humans love to poke our nose into others affairs. We always seem to have an answer as to how others should lead their lives, isn’t it? And we are most confused when it comes to our life 😉

Jealousy and the need to be better than one another, to have more than the next. The human mind covets things to much and people who feel they have power lose character and when others treat them as equals, they feel they sacrificed their character for nothing causing them to hunger for power. To have a heart makes one human, some people sacrifice theirs in hopes of gaining the hearts of others and that’s how hearts get lost, giving hearts to the heartless.
