“Why am I not enough?”
I used to wonder,
every single moment
of every single day.
It seemed as though,
everyone would be happier,
everything would be nicer,
if only I wouldn’t be a part of it.
Everything wrong seemed to be because of me,
blame upon blame,
I showered upon myself.
Ruthlessly and cold bloodily,
I tore down my own self.
I’m sorry, my dear old self.
I’m really sorry for giving you hell,
when you only wanted to be there for everyone.
I’m sorry and I promise,
I’ll do whatever it takes
to make it up to you.
P.S.-
We often put ourselves through so much, only because we want to appease others, to fit in according to the norms of this society. Do you think you really do love yourself? Have you forgiven yourself for everything that you’ve ever done? How important do you think self love actually is? Share your thoughts below!

They say the person we are the hardest on is ourselves and that may be to instill self confidence or to prepare for the worst so anything positive is a brighter beginning. It works for some and for others…it’s a working progress. I say the first person you should fall in love with is the person you see in the mirror, the second one is the one who understands that person in the mirror…and who understands us more than ourselves? You do have a point lovely, one must tear themselves down in order to build themselves up to become a stronger foundation, what doesn’t destroy only makes us stronger.😉. Excellent words, and the ending, how you told yourself you’d make it up to you….perfect!🌹❤️

Indeed, I do agree with you Roy. We’re often cruel to our own selves. And we should fall in ourselves first. Thank you Roy.
