All black, no white

You were supposed to tell me that I’m worth it.

But instead, you made me question my existence.

You were supposed to teach me how to believe in myself.

But instead, you made me hate myself.

You were supposed to show me how beautiful life can be.

But instead, you made me want to end it.

You were supposed to show me how cruel the world can be.

But instead, you yourself pushed me into the darkness.

You were supposed to show me how colorful the nature is.

But instead, you made my world all black and no white.

You were supposed to teach me how to protect myself from others.

But instead, you made me my biggest demon.

You were supposed to be my best friend.

But instead…

A mother plays the most important role in a child’s life. But sometimes, some children aren’t that lucky. There are many children who are abused by their parents and as pathetic as it may sound, it’s true. And this poem is an attempt at what those children must feel.
