Away from Home

Away from home

in a different city,

trying to fit in,

in this new place.

Missing home

on a cold night.

Lighting candles in my room,

trying to feel Diwali,

as it used to at home.

P.S.-

  2. Sad. I know how it feels. I missed several Christmas days. Not good being away from home for any holiday.

Missing home, missing family and traditions.🌹. I feel you lovely, I too celebrate from my family also and it’s tough so your words are so relatable. The thoughts in the heart and the memories can really assist us in getting through. And in doing that, sometimes people don’t seem so far away when someone can make us smile for a while.🌹
    Happy Dawali Lovely❤️

It does lovely🌹, trust me. Just because someone closes their eyes at noon doesn’t mean the sun goes down. Even if they don’t want to see it, they’ll feel it.😊
