Waiting for something

Even when you said that

you didn’t want me anymore,

I still kept hoping that

once you’d see me,

you’d change your mind,

and that you’d stay.

Stupidly naive I was,

to keep hoping,

to keep trying.

I know how stubborn you are

and I know that there’s nothing

that I can do to make you stay.

You’ve left me already

and have went too far away

for me to bring you back.

But I’ll still love you

’cause it’s not something

that I can undo.

So I’ll keep waiting

for something that I know

is never going to happen.

P.S.-

Time waits for no man, because time is perhaps a man. So for a woman it’ll probably walk hand and hand. Father Time probably would have said that.😉. Nothing wrong with holding on and nothing wrong with keeping hope alive, I’m an advocate of both because feelings are something to hang on to, they can be used as positive fuel. Even if one may not come back, walking away from someone with such unlimited beauty all around is their mistake and regret will be their best friend. Waiting for something is a gorgeous write full of feeling and a hidden message in the title, something will be delivered.🌹❤️
