Maybe it’s my fault that I get so attached to anyone so easily,
to the point that I start thinking of them as family.
Maybe it’s my fault that I give so much importance to people,
make them my priority, while I’m nowhere on their friend list.
Maybe it’s my fault that I thought of giving myself a chance,
and broke down those walls which protected me for years.
Maybe it’s my fault that I always try to be there for everyone,
when they don’t even think that maybe, I need them more.
Maybe it’s my fault that I keep on trying to be a perfect friend,
and end up getting hurt by those so called well wishers.
Maybe it’s my fault that I expect everyone to be thoughtful,
like I am when it comes to their life or their problems.
Not anymore!
Thank you for reminding me how low everyone thinks of me.
Thank you for reminding me why I was the way I was.
P.S.-

Oh yes! I’m sure everyone has felt it at some time in his/her life. I’ve just learnt letting people ‘Go’ is better than depending or attaching to another. There’s no one else other than family who will always be there.

That’s the ultimate truth that we need to accept.

When we begin expecting we get disappointed
When we depend on others they start using us
When we get attached to someone we left heartbroken

It’s not a “fault” to live your truth. If you’re a soul that gives chances, loves deeply, wears her heart on her sleeve, forgives quickly, and so on… that’s a woman of strength. Protecting your heart is necessary, but i hope it never becomes callused.

Well said. People call us cruel when we’re only trying to protect ourselves. It’s really hard to be nice to everyone and protect yourself from heartbreak at the same time.

You know lovely, your post is so relatable to many people but I say to you that it’s not your fault that you have a heart like some people do. Some may curse the sun because they get sunburn, but the sun doesn’t feel bad because it spreads so much joy and brings so much growth. I feel you, we put our hearts out for others but we have to realize everyone is not the same which is why we’re all unique. Sometimes doing good may seem like sweeping a dirt floor, totally pointless. But it’s not because if we’re doing it from the heart, we expect nothing and that’s what’s rewarding. We can’t be cold because to everyone because someone screwed up, because there are the ones you are touching out there that doesn’t blame you for being how you are.🌹
We can’t let people change us because then we give them control over us and that’s when we lose ourselves. You’re to lovely to get lost but always a treasure to be found. It’s not your fault, it’s your gift.🌹

Thank you Roy. This means a lot to me. The way you say so simple things so beautifully is really heart touching. And I agree with you. But I just wish that if someone has a problem with me, then they’d speak up to me, not behind my back.

You’re very welcome lovely🌹. The way you write with your heart is a beautiful thing too. Remember the blind can not see their reflection if they aren’t beautiful on the inside as well. And as far as people talking behind your back, if they’re behind you, there’s a reason they are behind you lovely. They don’t deserve to be by your side.♥️.
