For You

There’s nothing that I want

more than you.

There’s nothing that I won’t

do for you.

You made me heal,

inspite of my reluctance.

You made me feel,

inspite of my resistance.

There’s nothing that I can

give you; you’re too special.

There’s nothing that I can

do to make it up to you.

Still, I hope to be the reason

behind your smile.

Still, I dream of being

your light in the dark.

P.S.-

This one is for you. Happy birthday!

The gift is yet to be given. I’ll let you know when it’s delivered to him.
Thanks for the advice. It’s just as you said, I’m shy. I haven’t really poured my heart out on such a sensitive topic such as love in public, so it’s kind of hard.

It’s hard to imagine you as shy. Your poems have always been so bold. And I agree with you. I’ll try to be more passionate next time. Thanks for the advice 😊

i’ll share an incident w you, of me being v shy. so, when i was w my ex, i used to write her poems and all, but i was really shy. she would tell me, how she’d hold my hand, and i was like no. i’ll take a stick and she’d hold one end and i’d hold the other and that’s how we will like hold hands. so, yeah. i was pretty shy. and you’re just in school now. so, well you’ve so much to see. and so much to grow. it’s still a long journey. so, you’ll be fine. don’t be sad, if this didn’t work out. there will be many more. 🙂

Wow, you really were shy! 😦
Yeah, that’s true. I’ll try to be more open from now. And I actually kind of want this one to be the forever one.

well, i’ll be honest w you, sonali. it probably won’t be. but the pain will teach you many things. learn from it, but dont lose yourself. and maybe, it will work. just maybe. time will tell. but if it doesn’t, make sure, you don’t hit rock bottom.

That’s the bitter truth, ain’t it? But still, there’s nothing wrong in hoping, right? I understand though and I’ll try not to hit rock bottom.

To be someone’s gift, someone’s meaning and someone’s reason to smile is the greatest present and that’s what this poem is, a gift that can make one smile and feel loved. Pure beauty.🌹

Reminds me someone in particular, I met a long time ago. We would give each other gifts that had meaning, but in fun ways. He was a great friend! Sometimes I think about him and miss him. I wish him a wonderful Christmas wherever he is. ☺️ Great poem!

  7. we are all gifts, not always well received by others… sometime we offer ourselves to the wrong one who won’t allow us to be that gift in their lives… great lovely poem
